Opportunities in Family Ministries are varied enough to involve many different people with different gifts. Our volunteer process is designed to help determine where our opportunities and your gifts and interests come together.
Areas of Service
Nursery
ministry to those birth to 3 years on Sundays, Wednesday evenings, various weekdays (MOMS, Bible Studies), and special events
- Caregivers to nurture and pray for the youngest among us.
- Team Leaders lead a volunteer team who love and lead children in truth.
- Teachers who by prayer and preparation seek to understand and teach children through God-centered curriculum.
- Substitutes who are available to be called on as needed in the roles listed above.

Child / Youth
ministry to preschool through grade 8 on Sundays and Wednesdays
- Team Leaders lead a volunteer team who love and lead children in truth.
- Teachers who by prayer and preparation seek to understand and teach children through God-centered curriculum.
- Small Group Leaders who seek to develop a close relationship with a group of children/youth for the purpose of godly influence and help in applying biblical truth to life.
- Worship Leaders who lead children/youth to praise God through singing and praying with both gravity and joy.
- Substitutes who are available to be called on as needed in the roles listed above.
- Helpers who serve as joyful “extra hands” in the classroom.

Young Adults
ministry on Sundays, Wednesdays, and for other ongoing or one-time events
- Mentors for Young Adults build close relationships with young people in grades 9 through 12 with a view to foster Christian fellowship and apply God’s Word to life.

Disability Ministries
ministry on Sundays to those with special needs
- One-On-One Aide: Serve as a one-on-one aide in a Sunday School class or in the nursery caring for a child's practical and spiritual needs. Aides serve to encourage a child's gifts and help the child be part of the body of Christ.*
- His Works Partner: Work with adults with cognitive disabilities at our Sunday morning His Works gathering (North Campus). Partners serve as spiritual mentors and help with classroom needs.
- Volunteer in Various Roles: Help with events, correspondence, and other ministry activities.

Adventure Girls
neighborhood outreach to girls in grades 5–9 on Wednesday Nights
- Leaders help the girls make personal application of the lesson material and make efforts to maintain positive relations, support and good communication with the girls and their parents.
- Prayer Partners are matched with a girl whom she agrees to pray for, remember on special occasions, and contact throughout the year.

Boy Scouts/Cub Scouts—off-site

Leaders work with a team of adults to nurture godly young men through teaching God’s Word, mentoring, seeing God’s glory in His created world and teaching scouts to be servant leaders.
Father's Light Mentors, formerly Life Coaches for Kids—off-site
