Men's Ministry Mission: To help men treasure Jesus Christ above everything and to grow together in devotion to God.

To Fuel the Inner Man ...

Friday Men's Groups

Friday mornings, 7:00am

Downtown Campus (Room 114), North Campus (816 Edwards Conf Room), South Site (501 Bldg, Suite 110)

We meet to encourage growth in four areas:

  • love and knowledge of our Lord
  • love for the Word
  • obedience to God's precepts
  • love for others

We facilitate this by careful study of the Word, reading excellent texts together, and praying for each other. For more information, contact Ben Katterson at 612-746-2650 x673 (Downtown or South) or Dan Johnson at 612-209-8390 (North).

First Saturday Men's Connection

First Saturday of the month, 8:00-9:00am, Downtown Campus, Room 51 (Check the calendar for details.) For men who attend any of our campuses: Come for food, fellowship, worship and a message. Our mission is to help men to conform to the image of Jesus Christ. Bring your sons and your friends!

Men's Small Groups

Join a small group of men with God-centered focus who meet to study theological works, fight the battle of giving in to sexual temptation, commit one another to prayer, or study what biblical manhood means. See this list of small groups, to find one near you, or contact Robert Gangnon, 612-746-2650 x650.

Men's Retreat

Each year we gather together for a time of fellowship, worship, sound teaching, and many activities (fishing, softball, football, mountain biking, skeet shooting, rock climbing) at the Bethlehem Men’s Ministries Fall Retreat. Fathers are encouraged to bring their 13 year old and older sons with them to this retreat.

Strengthening Home, Marriage & Family

Father/Son Quest (weekend event)

Spring and Fall
Navigating the road from boyhood to manhood is a treacherous journey in today's postmodern culture. We look to the Bible as the source of truth for all of life and as a compass for parenting. Biblical principles, prayer, effective communication, encouragement, and loving support will build a firm foundation for your son. Whether you're preparing your pre-teen for manhood, or confirming values and commitments with your high school senior before he leaves home, the Father/Son Quest is an opportunity to mark a milestone and make lifetime memories. For details, contact Betty Dodge (612-338-7653 x490).

Opportunities for Ministry, Outreach & Mission

Become a Small Group Leader

We start new small groups throughout the year, and several are designed specifically for men. But we need many more small group leaders. If you are interested, please contact Robert Gangnon (612-746-2650 x650). Find a men's small group (see Gender & Family Demographic pull-down menu).

Serve as a Leader in Bethlehem's Boy Scout Troops

Marriage Retreat 2012

Each year, at the beginning of February, Bethlehem hosts a marriage retreat at Oakridge Conference Center in Chaska. The retreat (Friday evening–Sunday noon) is an excellent time for married couples to get away, refresh, and renew their relationship with excellent teaching and fellowship in a relaxing atmosphere separated from the stresses of busy schedules and everyday life.

Information about next year’s retreat is available beginning in November.

Brad & Vicki Bigney were our speakers for the 2012 topic, “When Marriage & Mercy Collide.” (Brad Bigney is Senior Pastor of Grace Fellowship Church in Florence, Kentucky.)

The following are sessions from the 2012 retreat:

Session 1: Laying the Foundation
Session 2: Solving Problems
Session 3: Adding Mercy (men & women together)
Session 3: Men's Breakout: Sexual Purity
Session 3: Women's Breakout with Vicki Bigney
Session 4: Choosing Forgiveness

For questions regarding the Marriage Retreat, contact Lynda Hansen.
